The race for Wind Farms/ Balluku shows the debates with Rama

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, during her speech at the first auction of Wind Farms, has shown the debates she had with Rama when she presented the idea to open the new competition for Wind Farms.

She said that at first when she told Rama that she will open the race, she was happy, but when she told her that they have to wait 24 months, they started arguing about the long waiting time.

"We launched the competition on June 25, 2021. When I told the prime minister to open the new competition, he was overjoyed, but when I told him that we have to wait 24 months, the debates started. Processes are done right and produce a valuable and profitable product. These two years have been worth it. The cornerstone is the analytical study that showed how and where Wind Farms should be built. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy will select projects that will produce no less than 150 kv.h. Along the way, we have seen 14 national and international companies apply. We decided that if the bids brought in more than 150mg worth we would be open. In the second phase, 6 companies were qualified. In conclusion, 3 companies have qualified for the final stage. Their live offers will be viewed.”
