A debate was recorded in the Health Commission, in the hearing session with representatives of the Medical Order.

Deputy Tritan Shehu accused the socialists of attacking the institution of the Order of Doctors.

"It takes courage to attack an institution like the Doctor's Order. The state is putting its hands in like a thief, because it is afraid of independent institutions. They are hitting this too. Why? Because they feel that they are independent, professional and they fear them", he said.

Shehu stated that interfering with the law of the Physician's Order is a violation.

"You are afraid to come out openly. Make other laws. It is unconstitutional. The Normative Act is unconstitutional and illegal. Normative Acts are temporary, while this one is permanent. Serious and unacceptable constitutional violations.

You have done it like in the time of Enver Hoxha, you nationalized the qymezes as well. You are destroying the public system and this will drive away doctors, increase corruption. Neither Italy nor France have done this", said the MP.

On the other hand, the vice president of the commission, Klodiana Spahiu, stated that there are no essential changes in the normative act that affect the Doctor's Order. 

"Only the structure and criteria of the disciplinary commission change, even this will be drawn up by the Order itself. There is no change in the budget or other items. It is only about a Commission of measures", she said./ CNA
