"The census was used to cover up the exodus"/ Xhaferri: Kosovo took 6

Democratic Party MP Besart Xhaferri, through a post on social media, has leveled accusations at the Rama government regarding the Population Census.

Xhaferri states that the census covered the dramatic figure of the exodus of Albanians.

 

" It took Kosovo only 6 weeks to publish the Census results, while Albania almost a year to publish a figure that, according to the indications I have, is totally manipulated."

No INSTAT employee has come to my apartment or that of my family for the Census.

Today, in the Economy Committee, where we had representatives from INSTAT present, I argued that it takes at least 183 days of residence to be considered a resident in Albania, and according to private company operators in Albania, there are 1.7 to 1.8 million resident inhabitants, and not 2.4 as shown by the INSTAT Census.

"I am clear that behind the figure of 2.4 million residents of the last Census lies the Rama government's attempt to cover up the dramatic figure of the exodus of Albanians ," Xhaferri declares./ CNA
