This afternoon, a minute of silence was held in the Parliament in honor of the late former MP Andis Harasani, who passed away the day before.

Berisha said that Harasani was a politician who dedicated his youth to changing Albania and that he is honoring him for remaining a socialist loyal to the principles he believed in until his last day.

The opposition leader considered Harasan a man who did not compromise with evil and who was expelled from the Renaissance.

"I think that acts of respect should be complete and sincere.

Andis Harasani belonged to a constellation of young politicians. Truly, well-educated, involved in democratic processes from the beginning.

But it cannot be denied that you expelled him, and you must apologize. Not you personally, because you did not expel him personally, but the Renaissance expelled him.

I honored him with full conviction for what I said, because he was a politician who dedicated his youth to changing Albania, to those ideals, but I honored him because he remained a socialist loyal to those principles he believed in until the last day.

A patriot, a man who never agreed to compromise with evil, as you did, in turn.

"That's why you could apologize and I guarantee you that you only represented not the opinion of Sali Berisha, but the opinion of hundreds and thousands of socialists who expected this from you today," Berisha said.
