DP denounces scandal at the University of Sports: Dean has left, but his salary

The head of the Education Department in the Democratic Party, Lili Sula, has denounced a scandal that occurred at the University of Sports in Tirana.

Sula stated that the dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Sports has been removed from his post, but his salary continues to be paid in full every month.

The Head of the Department of Education has requested the Ministry of Education and law enforcement agencies to investigate this case.

 

" Within a week of the publication of the corruption affair at UBT, another scandal appears in the media. Robert Çina, businessman and at the same time Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Sports of Tirana, ABANDONED his job for years, and Rector Agron Kasa, in full knowledge, does NOT stop him, but pays him his full salary every month!

The Dean, the highest authority of the Faculty, who is paid by taxpayers, but also by the fees paid by students, does not go to work! He does not teach nor does he perform the duties and functions of the Dean! Think: such a Dean is also a member of the collegial bodies of the Rectorate and the Academic Senate of this university!

Dean/Businessman Robert Çina, receives a salary from a public institution and spends his working time on his private business and his passions abroad! This is where higher education in our country has come to! A Dean who receives a salary without going to work! and a Rector, who instead of guaranteeing the implementation of the law, hides and covers up this SCANDAL!

The reasons and interests of the connection between Dean Mr. Robert Çina and Rector Mr. Agron Kasa, should be revealed by the control and investigation that should be undertaken at this university!? As the investigative show Piranjat proved, corruption, abuse and misuse of office is present in every unit and structure, and is practiced in a structured manner by the highest leaders of the university. Most flagrant is the fact that the misuse and greed of Dean Robert Çina and other corrupt affairs of Rector Agron Kasa have been reported to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education and to date they have NOT taken any measures.

Rector Agron Kasa and his clan have been caught again in corrupt affairs resulting in the abuse of public finances, as confirmed by the latest Report of the Supreme State Audit, which this Rector is hiding! These are the leaders of our universities and faculties, who emerged from the elections without competitions dictated by Rilindja. Instead of leading the university, educating our young people, they are structured into corrupt groups and partnerships that abuse public finances and abuse their duties at the expense of students.

The consequences of these scandals are suffered by; students; parents and our entire society. The Democratic Party, strongly condemning this despicable level of waste and corruption, urges the Ministry of Education and law enforcement institutions to investigate this scandal and hold these leaders legally accountable.

Dear students and professors, You who are being exploited and suffering the consequences of this corruption of university leaders, we encourage you to denounce and reject this destruction that is being done to universities! The Democratic Party invites you on May 11, all together, to unite with a vote and expel this gang of thieves and return the university to your hands.
