The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is in detention cells in Durrës following the decision of the GJKKO and a voluminous file of evidence and facts regarding his and his family members' corruption.

What has happened is that Erion Veliaj has begun to make, beyond attacks, curses, insults, and slanders against justice officials, several other moves in Durrës prison. He has declared that he is fasting.
