Berisha does not back down/ "To create a technical government"
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has asked again this evening for a technical government.

He repeated this request during his speech at the protest of supporters below his apartment.

The former prime minister promised that when PD comes to power, the gangs will not rule, but only the law will rule.

"Every day, tons of lies and deceptions are poured on Albanian citizens. Every day, tens of millions of euros of their wealth are stolen by the government. Every day the towers of the government rise as ugly monuments of drugs and corruption. Every day the heinous crimes committed by the rulers and their gangs are covered up.

Albania today has no second in Europe. Albania today resembles a country in which its inhabitants, 83 percent of them, want to leave. While she has in herself the most fabulous assets. But these assets are looted every day by thieving rulers. These assets, instead of a blessing, turn into a real curse for Albanian citizens.

My friends, the time has come in a civil disobedience battle to shorten the days of this government. Let's create the technical government so that the Albanians can choose their representatives with a free vote. Vote for the opposition with a free vote and I guarantee the Albanian citizens that the PD will do everything for a quick, complete and powerful change of the catastrophic situation. Yes and yes. Gangs will not rule in Albania, the law and only the law will rule.

In Albania, the hands of those who dare to touch public property, steal your income, your taxes will be cut off with the scissors of the law. In Albania, wealth will be returned to the citizens. Doubling salaries, doubling pensions, improving the quality of education, guaranteeing a dignified, efficient health service, as you deserve", said Berisha./ CNA
