The deputy of Lulzim Basha, Enkelejd Alibeaj, said this Monday that the Socialist Party gets at least 6-7 mandates on the table with the current electoral system.

In a press statement, he stated that the SP has the majority and with its votes it can undertake any initiative.

Alibeaj asked some questions and demanded answers from the socialists, as he repeated the empty proposals of Lulzim Basha, which the latter has been articulating for years and does not take any concrete steps.

"Three days ago, I addressed a public appeal to the Socialist Party to clarify a key issue in the interest of the public: Are they looking for the failure of the electoral reform? Are they demanding that the issue of electoral reform escape from the Electoral Reform Commission, where the parties are equal under equal conditions, and then pass to the Laws Commission, where the Socialist Party has the majority, where with its votes it can undertake any initiative unilateral, as long as the opposition is deprived of the veto guarantee.

Today I take the opportunity to make the same appeal: Is the Socialist Party seeking to fail the Electoral Reform Commission? Are you seeking to take the matter to the Laws Commission, where there is a majority and through fishing for opposition votes, unilateral initiatives can be undertaken where the opposition lacks a guarantee, the only security being the veto against any unilateral initiative.

I know, the public knows in fact that the Socialist Party did not want open lists, that the Socialist Party does not want the vote of the diaspora, the vote of half of the Albanians outside the territory. I know that the Socialist Party does not want Albania to be an electoral zone so that the vote of Albanians in the north or the south is equal. Because he wants to unfairly get at least 6-7 mandates at the table through this system.
