The Chargé d'Affaires of the US embassy, ??David Wisner, has given a message to the political parties regarding the tensions in the Parliament.
Wisner went to the Speaker's office today and asked her for a fully functional Parliament.
He stated that the Parliament is very important for Albania and the democratic system.
The US Chargé d'Affaires emphasized that "it is useful for the parties in the Assembly to commit to serve the citizens and the Euro-Atlantic future of Albania".
"The Charge d'Affaires, David Wisner, met today with the Speaker of the Parliament Lindita Nikolla to emphasize the commitment of the United States in strengthening Albania's democratic institutions, as well as its efforts in law enforcement and anti-corruption, as the country progresses forward towards Euro-Atlantic integration. A fully functional parliament, where elected representatives work constructively for the people, is essential for the fulfillment of these goals", the statement of the American embassy underlined. / CNA
