The lawyer of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj spoke about the recourse of Aleks Nika's family members and the acceptance of the case by the Supreme Court.

Gjokutaj said in a statement to journalists that recourse is a right of family members that cannot be denied.

However, he stated that there was no evidence of guilt for the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the former Minister of the Interior, Lulzim Basha.

"The Nika family has every right to demand its right, but this right remains within these parameters until it is instrumentalized by Edi Rama and politics. If you remember, the current Minister of Justice made a report to SPAK and SPAK declared incompetence, which means that there was no evidence of guilt for Berisha and Basha. The Strasbourg decision is not binding on SPAK. The whole matter is presented because such is the provision. Only the buildings differ, the mentality is the same", stressed the lawyer./ CNA
