Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has accused GJKKO, after the requests of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, for lighter security measures were rejected.

 Gjokutaj said that GJKKO has turned into a political commissariat, which takes decisions by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

He stated that the prosecutors did not give any explanation for the charges brought against Berisha.

"Today, both in form and in content, it has been openly contrary to the law. The prosecutors had to answer the questions about Mr. Berisha's corruption. The prosecutor honestly said that I don't give them any explanation.

These are a political commissariat. I don't know how this Court issued the measure of arrest without asking a question", emphasized the lawyer./ CNA
