Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the decision of the Supreme Court, which ordered GJKKO to investigate the case of January 21.

In a status on social networks, Rama says that this decision has revived the hope of Albanians, who thought that the file was closed once and for all.

According to him, this is a concrete opportunity for the new justice, to make history by establishing a fair justice.

"The decision of the Supreme Court today for the return to life of the bloody file of January 21, has brought back to life the hope buried in the minds of many Albanians, that that file of a vicious state crime would come out of the grave of justice rotten albanian! This decision has reopened the path closed for so many years, the eye of justice on the country and the perpetrators of that crime, turning the clear decision of the European Court of Human Rights into a concrete opportunity for the new justice, to make history with the establishment of a fair justice.

Today I am prouder than ever before for the unique contribution that the Socialist Party gave to the demolition of the Old Palace of Justice through the Reform of Justice; for the patience in the difficult confrontation with the legitimate cause of many disappointed by the endless dragging until the burial of this matter; for not shaking the belief that justice for January 21 can, should and will be done only by justice and no one else, no matter how late it may be. With a sigh of relief from today's decision and the awareness that the road to the final payment by justice of the innocent blood of the four martyrs of January 21 is still uphill, I want to say to all those who in these long years have not spared bitter words directed at me and the SP: You have all my understanding, but never lose faith in our common strength and the Albania that we are doing with our common effort", underlines Rama./ CNA
