The head of the Parliamentary Group of the DP, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the statement of the speaker of parliament Elisa Spiropali about the draft opinion of the Venice Commission, regarding the mandate of the MP Olta Xhaçka.

Bardhi wrote on social networks that Spiropali should re-read the opinion, understand it and then implement it.

He has raised accusations that Spiropali is carrying out disinformation that indicates that he will continue to defend Xhaçka.

"The President of the Assembly must once again read the opinion of the Venice Commission, understand it and implement it. Its disinformation that continues even after the opinion is public shows that there is an attempt to continue with the unprecedented protection against MPs who violate the constitution for personal gain, completely against what the Venice Commission advises.

The President of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali has only one obligation from today: To implement two decisions of the Constitutional Court, as the Venice Commission advises in its opinion. Any deformation or deviation from the essence of the opinion and the haunting of details without substance do not help to strengthen democracy or the rule of law", Bardhi emphasized./ CNA
