Rama: We will be the first country to do procurement without people

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the "Shaping the Future of Govtech" conference, declared that in the next term, Albania will be the first country to make procurements without people, implying that 90% of services will be online.

"What would Albania do if we were not at the level of digital progress where that global shock found us. The Albania that we undertook to lead was a country where digital governance was not yet in its branches, what today is the great entrance and exit gate of Albanians in the labyrinths of public administration through computers and e-phone, Albania was an insignificant being with all the needs of the administration and citizens with a ridiculous number of services.

The moment of the pandemic did what turned into a full embrace with technology and with the government in the sense of governance of services through e-Albania. 3.2 million users who interact with e-Albania is a meaningful figure and not characteristic even for much more developed countries.

This is our objective to catch the train of progress and advance at an even greater speed than those on the train of progress to professionalize the service governance system.

Today we are in a different phase and we discuss about other things. We would be in a different situation today, whereas when we were hit from a cyber point of view by one of the biggest powers in this direction now we would not have been able to resist but we resisted.
