Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Grigels Muçollari has spoken about food safety and the trade of harmful products in Albania.

During a television interview, Muçollari emphasized that this is an alarming situation as it is related to many problems, with diseases that come from the lack of products that are not safe.

"The situation in the framework of food security, in my opinion, is alarming in Tirana and everywhere in our lands. What has happened before that the policy has not been taken, in my opinion, is a wrong approach of the policy, since we should have had the time to deal with this issue. It is related to many problems, with many diseases that come from the lack of products that are not safe. The Democratic Party has been dealing with this issue for over a year working group with a number of specialists who are collecting data and clearly analyzing the situation within Albania in terms of food security. The data we have guaranteed is alarming.

My approach to dealing with this started with family actually. And the fact that we had a great concern in the way the children are being fed, we also definitely, the problem arose that here should provide a political solution, we should have paid attention, precisely to this very vital issue. And if we notice, the EU is also very strict in this aspect because it will open the borders to circulate exactly these goods.
