Managerial autonomy of hospitals/ Rama: The first beneficiaries are the patients

Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu were present today at the Memorial Hospital in Fier for Managerial Autonomy. Now, with the receipt of the autonomy card, Memorial Hospital joins the modern hospital management network.

In his speech, Prime Minister Rama emphasized that healthcare management is one of the most important processes.

Rama said that managerial autonomy is also a leap from an ordinary system to a very modern system, where the first beneficiaries are patients.

Rama added that this is also an opportunity to see the rewards at work.

"We have requested support in a process such as hospital management.

Health management is one of the most important.

We realized that we have good doctors and nurses, but we don't have good managers.

This is a very complex process of hospital management.

Transition from an ordinary system to a very modern system, where the first beneficiaries are patients.

"It is also an opportunity to see the rewards at work," Rama said.

Meanwhile, today six other hospitals receive the managerial autonomy card, joining this transformation: "Queen Geraldine" Maternity Hospital, "Koço Gliozheni" Maternity Hospital, Korça Regional Hospital, Elbasan Regional Hospital, Gjirokastër Regional Hospital and the University Trauma Hospital. /CNA
