Problems with transparency and access/ Dogjani: Bank of Albania to carry out

Democratic Party MP Asllan Dogjani has today requested that the Bank of Albania conduct numerous inspections, as there are problems with transparency and access in second-tier banks, which makes it difficult for citizens.

In his speech in the Assembly, Dogjani emphasized that this problem also exists in other financial institutions operating in our country.

Dogjani said that supervision by the Bank of Albania should be increased, as many mechanisms have been created that have caused Albanians problems with banks.

"Citizens suffer in our banks, there is no banking transparency, commissions and hidden clauses. Financial institutions, while you who should be supervising them have done nothing. So much so that many families have had their homes taken away, others have even sacrificed themselves and committed suicide because of these machinations. The bank has its own rules, but there is also supervision by the state bank so that there are no high interest rates for young people to take out loans for a house to build a family.

"There are all kinds of mechanisms that you have brought to Albanians to get out of their misery through these banks, and you yourself don't know where your money is, businesses are going bankrupt from these bank loans. High taxes force them to take loans that they then don't pay, the state is there to control that people take loans for business and homes, and then have the opportunity to pay them," Dogjani said./CNA
