Economics expert Brisida Shehaj has harshly criticized the opposition's contradictory statements regarding the selection of the candidate for the Municipality of Tirana as well as the negotiations with other political parties.

She highlighted the statements of Flamur Noka, Secretary General of the DP, and Ilir Alimehmet, where the former stated that there are no negotiations with Arlind Qori, while the latter stated that Qori was contacted but refused.

Shehaj, in harsh tones, declares that the Democratic Party must become serious and remove its complexes and not remain hostage to anyone's delirium or to those who are waiting for permission from Edi Rama to become an opposition party.

The expert emphasized that the selection of the candidacy is a serious process and not a Big Brother televoting.

She underlined that the residents of Tirana deserve seriousness and that they are not votes in their pockets for Kuçi's bus.

A few days ago, the Secretary General of the Democratic Party stated in the media that the DP would not negotiate with Arlind Qori because he was an extreme leftist. Yesterday, in the media, member of the negotiating group Ilir Alimehmeti said not only that they had contacted Arlind but that he had REFUSED them, so the largest OPPOSITION force and within itself there are only leaders and everyone does according to their own head.

I have nothing against anyone, but this story of the candidate for Tirana Mayor is not a reason to appear on television and be seen as a visionary.
