Tirana Municipality Councilor, Ilir Alimehmeti, invited to the "Now" show with Erla Mëhilli, spoke about the situation in the municipality, Veliaj's dismissal and the complaint filed.

Alimehmeti said that a municipality that respects the law and the Constitution is needed.

The Democratic councilor said that incinerator money continues to be paid and tax money continues to be wasted. Regardless of Erion Veliaj's presence or not, Alimehmerti stated that in the first 7 months of 2025, only 14% of the municipality's investments have been realized.

Further, Alimehmeti said that the socialist councilors in the municipality have not allowed the establishment of the financial commission.

Alimehmeti stated that the Municipality of Tirana is seen as a ladder to climb in order to reach the leadership of the government or as a "cow" to be milked financially.

Regarding the fact of whether or not there will be elections in the capital, Alimehmeti expressed his conviction that there will be elections in the Municipality of Tirana.
