"The problem is the decline of democracy"/ Political scientist

Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi commented today regarding the political system in Albania. 

Invited to A2CNN, Krasniqi said that one of the problems in the country is the decline of democracy and the state.

Krasniqi stated that one of the most serious acts of parties is the promotion of individuals accused of corruption.

"The problem is the decline of democracy and the decline of the state as a concept and quality. Both of these declines are accepted as normality and the mentality is to continue in this direction again. No one protects an individual who violates the law, but the concept that the left or right party dismisses and takes away constitutional competence must end.

One of the official acts of the parties is that individuals accused of corruption are not promoted to official positions. If this criterion had been applied, we would not have a president or a mayor of Tirana.

 To change Albania, the concept of politics in Albania must be changed. These are all the same as abuse, if the DP operated with the rules of the EPP it would never be what it is today, or the SP if it operated with the PES it would never be what it is today. Rama has not been voted into the party for 16 years and these people speak in the name of democracy, they represent us and are paid with our taxes and this should be the public debate, but no one talks about this, "- said Krasniqi. /CNA
