The candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for Elbasan, Luciano Boçi, met today with the head of the OSCE-ODIHR mission in Albania, Audrey Glover.

The meeting took place within the electoral campaign of the May 14 elections, while Boçi clarified the talks with Glover.

Through a status on social networks, Boçi announced that he pointed out to the head of the OSCE-ODIHR mission his concern about the language used by Prime Minister Edi Rama towards the opposition and about the attempts to influence the vote.

"The OSCE/ODIHR must support the maintenance of the standards of the May 14 elections before these standards become unacceptable, as is happening! I conveyed this to the honorable OSCE/ODIHR ambassador, the head of the election observation mission - Mrs. Audrey Glover and the delegation accompanying her.

Rama's constant statements that he will not cooperate with anyone from the opposition are unconstitutional and prove his fear of losing the elections.

For months, administration employees have been under direct pressure to hand over 10-20 identity cards. Every opposition supporter has received phone calls or direct threats - at work and at business.

16,000 beneficiaries of economic aid have been called and advised who to vote for so as not to lose the aid. The legal bodies of the Municipality are inactive and thousands of jobs have been created temporarily - to influence the vote.

We expect international organizations to intervene to stop this unconstitutional action of a municipality that has been alarmed by the feeling of defeat" , declares the candidate for Elbasan./ CNA.al
