The candidate of the Opposition for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi held meetings with the residents of the Sharra area. He presented his program, the 5 main points that bring change in Tirana, and asked for the support of the citizens. The Sharra area is neglected and during the last years there has been a lack of investments that would improve the community's livelihood. But as if this is not enough, the residents of Sharra and the entire Kombinati still suffer from air pollution due to the urban waste that is thrown into the landfill. Belind Kelliçi described this as a gold mine for Erion Veliaj, and harm to the citizens.

The opposition candidate for Tirana municipality, Belind Këlliçi, said that the death of Ardi Gjoklaj in Sharre served as a pretext for Erion Veliaj to start an affair with Tirana's incinerator, which today costs the taxpayers of Tirana a full 80 thousand euros per day.

"The reason why I am mentioning this to you is that this justification was found in 2016, when this happened, to start talking for the first time about the Tirana incinerator concession. There is a very big problem here. You have no idea financially what theft is happening just feet away from you. They steal 80 thousand euros a day from your taxes, mine, all of us here. Do you know what 80,000 euros per day means? If for a week those lek are thrown here in the area, the problem with the entrance alleys will be solved", said Këlliçi.

For the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition, the amount of money that goes to the incinerator affair today is enough to enable free public transportation for 200,000 citizens of Tirana. After May 14, this commitment will become a reality, "as it serves the needy and not the clientele of Erion Veliaj", said Këlliçi.

"I have promised free public transport, free bus for 200 thousand citizens per day. A service that costs as much money as the non-existent incinerator. That 400 Lek ticket is not a headache for the rich, but it is for the poor. The measure that I have proposed does not serve the oligarchs, Erion Veliaj's clientele. It is a service dedicated to retirees, to students, to families in need, to the needy classes".

Public transport will be a service for all residents of the capital, including those in rural areas. Kelliçi also showed how this project will be realized.

"In all the towns of Tirana, in all the villages and in the city, when they get on the bus, they follow the same model that exists in 250 other cities in the world, which hypes on the bus, has an electronic card, checks , presses it there, and continues on its way. As all developed countries have. Why? Because I have decided not to take citizens' taxes and take them for services that don't exist, but to take them and take them for the citizens", said Kelliçi.

As public transport is expected to reduce living costs, but also traffic, another ambitious plan to ease traffic on the streets of the capital is the underpass at "Skënderbej Square". In front of the residents of Sharra, Belind Kelliçi said that he is being criticized for the low cost of this project, as according to him, it reveals the affairs of Erion Veliaj with the inflated costs for the construction of the New Ring.

Kandidati i Opozitës foli edhe për planin e ofruar për uljen e taksave dhe tarifave vendore, ku pritet të përfitojnë bizneset por edhe qytetarët.

“Kam dhënë premtim përgjysmimin e tarifës për hapsirën publike, përgjysmimin e tarifës për pastrim gjelbërimin, zerimin e taksës, edhe ti e paguan, për arsimin që është një taksë që ka mbledhur Erion Veliaj 41 milionë euro këto 7 vjet, dhe nuk ka ndërtuar një çerdhe, një kopsht, një shkollë për gjithë zonën e Unazës së Re, që janë 70 mijë banorë”-u shpreh Belind Këlliçi.

Para banorëve të Sharrës, Belind Këlliçi premtoi se do të pastrojë bashkinë e Tiranës nga patronazhistët dhe aktivistët, ndërsa deklaroi se një ndër strukturat e para që do të reformohet është Policia Bashkiake, e cila sot është kthyer në gjobëvënëse ndaj qytetarëve.

“Bashkia e Tiranës nuk do të ketë më vend as për patronazhistë dhe as për aktivistë, do të ketë vend për të rinj e të reja të Tiranës, të vijnë të punojnë për qytetin dhe nëpunësi i shtetit do duhet të jetë nëpunës i shtetit. Po 24 orë pas 14 majit unë do ta reformoj. Policia bashkiake do të jetë në shërbimin tuaj dhe t`i dridhet dora kur e kap stilolapsin dhe i vendos gjobë qytetarit. Ta mendojë mirë. Çdo vit në buxhetin e bashkisë ka planifikim buxheti dhe realizim faktik të buxhetit të bashkisë.
