The deputy of Lulzim Basha, Enkelejd Alibeaj, made accusations against the majority regarding the Criminal Amnesty bill.

Alibeaj said that the draft law amnesties the officials arrested by SPAK.

"With the amnesty you are preparing to vote today in silence. Today, a vote will be given to reduce the sentence to 1 year and a half for men, two years for women who have been sentenced by the new justice system. This is the first bitter test of this agreement. You must make it transparent by returning it to the Law Commission. These are the tests that this Parliament is taking at the end, under the fear of losing the mandate and especially under the fear of SPAK. It is nothing but amnesty from SPAK", he said.

He received a harsh response from the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, who stated that the opposition is playing politics with this issue.

Manja stated that the amnesty will not release corrupt persons.

"First, I want to welcome today's vote on the introduction of the draft law, which is in the honor of the parliament to vote on it. Second, Mr. Alibeaj should not do politics with the draft law, because it is very comfortable to do politics, while people convicted by justice, that the constitution and the law give them the right to benefit from amnesty. You should not continue to do politics.

Third, open your eyes and read the law because you are also a lawyer. None of the convicts from the GJKKO benefit, even the demands of the opposition for the protesters have been accommodated, not as you asked for 2018-2020. This is the truth of this amnesty. When it's time to vote on it article by article, they get it. We are not making any inventions, discounting punishment, considering all the offenses that are prohibited. It's been appearing in the parliament for 8 months as if we made an invention", said the minister./ CNA
