Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku spoke today at the table for the Simulation of Managing a Cyber ??Crisis, where she emphasized the raising of our country's capacities in terms of cyber security.

"The Albanian government has started a digitalization process of all services. A digitization process that definitely responds to the need of the time and all the modernism of processes, systems, enterprises, but on the other hand also with a primary goal of reducing the level of corruption.

Since having digitized systems, contact between citizens who receive services and those who provide them is reduced to a minimum. So with this in mind we have started a long journey which certainly requires attention, requires prepared human capacities and above all requires an intensive capital investment from the government. 

On the other hand, the digitization of services, the digitization of state administration processes, certainly increases the level of exposure to cyber attacks. And it was July 2022 which showed us very well what impact a well-organized attack by state actors can have in striking a country."

Also, Minister Balluku emphasized that cyber security cannot be done with isolated islands.

"If only the administration would invest in this direction and private business would stay out, it would be insufficient.

Cyber ??security is an element that must be acquired by each of us, not only at the business level, at the level of public administration, but also at the personal level from a very young age, not to mention from small children. which we all know is not good, but they are exposed to technology, and by the age of three, today everyone has access and everyone has based their lives mainly on technology.”/ CNA
