The DP Parliamentary Group supports amnesty/ 3 conditions

At noon on Wednesday, the meeting of the Parliamentary Group was held at the PD headquarters. It is learned that the DP Parliamentary Group supports the amnesty and proposes: 

1. The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has proposed that all persons tried or investigated for criminal offenses committed during gatherings and demonstrations carried out until March 31, 2024, regardless of the date of their registration, be exempted from punishment and criminal prosecution .

2. The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has proposed the exemption from amnesty, whether in terms of serving a sentence, reducing the sentence or criminal prosecution, all high-ranking officials investigated and/or judged by special anti-corruption structures or who are subject to declaration of wealth, as deputies or mayors.

3. The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has proposed an increase in the amount of amnesty benefits, either in terms of reducing the sentence by 2 years for women and 1.5 years for men, or in terms of the date of the sentence, the initiation of investigations or the completion of criminal offense until March 31, 2024, from January 31, 2024 as provided for in the current version of the draft law.

Gazment Bardhi is expected to issue a statement to the media after the meeting. /CNA
