Former Democratic MP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, commented today on the situation created within the Democratic Party.

Invited to A2CNN, Alibeaj said that the main problem is the lack of political courage to openly address responsibility for the current state of the DP.

Alibeaj added that there are also questionable criticisms of several names within the DP, one of which is Ervin Salianji.

"The main problem of the Democratic Party is clear and identifiable, but it lacks the political courage to address it openly. Responsibility for the current state of the DP begins with its chairman and cannot be avoided with peripheral criticism or unclear positions."

If these political actors are seriously concerned about the state of the party and the public interest, they must show not only moral courage, but also intellectual and political courage to put their finger on the wound.

If they claim that the state of the Democratic Party is what it is today, then they need to find the culprit, and the culprit has only one name: the party chairman. Responsibility starts with the chairman.

"So far, he has not seen a clear and determined stance from figures like Ervin Salianji or others to articulate this responsibility openly. In fact, according to him, recent public statements show that some of them continue to support the same figures in the upcoming elections, which makes the seriousness of their criticisms questionable," Alibeaj said. /CNA
