The new mural in London is believed to be by Banksy

Crowds gathered in north London on Monday morning to see a wooden mural on the body of a building, believed to be the work of street artist Banksy.

The art created in the residential building on Hornsey Road has caught the attention of neighbors and passers-by.

Residents have told news agencies that they are "proud and happy" that the anonymous artist has chosen that street for the new mural.

Wanja Sellers, a resident of the neighborhood, who lives a few streets near the mural, said that "we are very happy that Bansky has chosen our street for his art."

"The bright green colors represent Islington, which is cool, and of course, St. Patrick's Day, which is good and festive."

"The choice of colors of our neighborhood makes it seem like a personal message to the residents. We are very proud".

The bright green color is spread over the building, in the form of wood, creating the impression of a leaf.

It also shows a person holding a pressure hose in his hand.

Bansky usually confirms his work through his Instagram account and page.

His latest work was confirmed in December last year, when he painted some military drones in Peckham, south London.

His work was later vandalized by two men, who were arrested for criminal damage./ REL
