A bitter news comes from Korça. The painter Krisanthi Koçibelli (Turtulli) passed away at the age of 80.

The news was announced by her family members, who announced that the funeral ceremony will be held the next day.

"It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our mother Krisanthi Kocibelli (Turtulli) passed away today on January 3, 2024. Tributes will be made at the Brilant Funeral Home in Lendina e Loteve. The hanging will be tomorrow, January 4 at 12:00.

We reward you all for joy in your families", says their statement.

For more than 3 decades she devoted her life to painting.

Just a few months ago, in October 2023, the painter from Korça opened the exhibition "Even the brush will speak its word".

Koçibelli counts more than 250 works of art. In a previous statement for CNA, Krisianthi stated that she found the greatest inspiration in her city.

Throughout the years of her life, she has put on the canvas many objects and elements of the old Korca.

Her greatest wish was to leave behind the cobbled alleys, characteristic of Korça, as well as the buildings with special architecture./ CNA
