Rinasi, passenger record in 2023/ Flights increase by 140%

The many tourists who visited Albania during 2023 chose to travel through Rinas International Airport.

According to the classification of the International Airports Council, our country has increased flights by about 140% compared to 2019.

While according to data confirmed by the Rinas airport, air traffic has increased even compared to other years. This fact places the Rinas airport among the airports with the greatest increase in the number of flights during the year 2023. Referring to publications, Albania leaves behind during the peak of the tourist season many countries such as Greece, Portugal, Turkey, Spain or Italy.

Referring to the flow of air flights, according to the official figures of Rinas airport from January 1 to November, Tirana airport reached the figure of 6 million passengers for this year.

This number constitutes the main weight of about 10 million tourists who visited Albania until the end of October, marking another record in terms of the tourism sector.

Of course, the next tourist season can lead to other records, this after the operation in Rinas of the flight line 'Ryanair', known for its low costs, and the attraction of the general public./ CNA
