Archbishop Anastas celebrates the name day/ Divine Liturgy is held

January 22 is the celebration of Saint Anastas the Persian, who dedicated himself to Orthodoxy in a foreign country and was martyred by "his own".

His Beatitude Anastasius, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, also bears the name of Saint Anastas the Persian.

On this occasion, the Divine Liturgy was performed in the "Evangelization of the Virgin Mary" Church in Tirana.

The Holy Services were presided over by the Metropolitan of Amantia, His Grace Nathanaili, together with the Bishop of Bylis, His Grace Asti, Archimandrite Anastasius, as well as the clergy of the Gracious Archbishopric.

For 32 years, Archbishop Anastas has served and rebuilt the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.

His Beatitude Anastasius has made an indelible contribution to the Orthodox Community, turning his name day into a day of celebration for all believers./ CNA
