Lezha Police have finalized the police operation codenamed "Processing".

During the operation, two plots where narcotic plants were cultivated and an environment adapted for their drying were discovered in the village of Shtuf.

In total, about 33.7 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were seized and 220 suspected narcotic plants were destroyed.

As a result, two suspected perpetrators were arrested. One of them was caught red-handed in the environment where the narcotic plants were being dried, while the other has a criminal record for criminal activity in the field of narcotics.

Mirditë/As a result of several weeks of investigations using proactive methods to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, the police operation codenamed "Processing" is being finalized.

About 33.7 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were seized and 220 suspected narcotic plants were destroyed.
The 2 suspected perpetrators were arrested. One of them was caught red-handed in the environment where the narcotic plants were dried, the other with a criminal record for the same criminal activity.
The Narcotics Investigation Section of the Lezha Police Department, in continuation of its work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, after several weeks of investigations under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, has organized and finalized in cooperation with the Operational Sector, the police operation codenamed "Processing".
As a result of the operation, the following citizens were arrested:
-PM, 31 years old, resident of the village of Shtuf;
-KP, 31 years old, resident of the village of Arrëz, Mirditë, with a criminal record for criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
During the operation, the following were discovered in the territory of the village of Shtuf, administrative unit of Kaçinar:
-2 plots where 220 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were cultivated, which were destroyed by burning, except for a small part that was seized as material evidence;
-1 environment that these citizens had adapted for drying narcotic plants and preparing them for sale. In this environment, about 33.7 kilograms of suspected cannabis sativa narcotic substance, in the process of drying, were found and seized, and citizen PM was caught red-handed.
Work continues to identify other citizens who may be involved in this criminal activity.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
