The two suspects in the theft of a motorcycle at the port of Durres have been arrested and taken into custody. The motorcycle is estimated to be worth 2,500 euros.

The two arrested were tasked with guarding and securing the port facility.

The police seized the motorcycle imported from Switzerland.

Police Announcement:

The services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to apprehend wanted persons and to crack down on criminal activities in the field of theft, based on information obtained through operational means, located, apprehended and handcuffed the citizens: IF, 45 years old, and GD, 47 years old, both residents of Durrës.

These citizens, in collaboration with each other, are suspected of having stolen a motorcycle imported from Switzerland, worth approximately 2,500 euros, owned by citizen KK.

The motorcycle was stolen within the premises of the port of Durres, while both of these citizens were on duty to guard and secure the port facility.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durrës, for further procedural actions, for the criminal offense of "Theft committed in collaboration, by abusing office." /CNA
