Operation "Check Point"/ Caught selling cocaine, 2 people arrested

Two people have been arrested in flagrante delicto in Tirana for trafficking cocaine.

Citizens AA and S.Xh., respectively the seller and buyer of cocaine, have been placed in handcuffs.

S.Xh., had violated house arrest for "production and sale of narcotics".

The police seized the narcotics and a large amount of money.

 

Police Announcement:

"Tirana/The police anti-drug operation codenamed "Check Point" is finalized."     

A case of drug trafficking is being investigated.      

A 29-year-old man was caught red-handed selling suspected cocaine to a citizen and was arrested.  

The police seized the narcotics and a large amount of money.

The citizen who was buying the narcotics, who had violated the security measure "House Arrest", was also arrested for the criminal offense of "Production and Sale of Narcotics".

A quantity of cocaine, a sum of money suspected to have been gained from its sale, an electronic scale and illegal items in the possession of the 29-year-old were seized.    

In continuation of the work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained operationally, the specialists for the Narcotics Investigation of the Tirana Police Department organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Check point".   

During the operation, on "Anton Lufi" street, the Police services caught citizen AA red-handed selling a quantity of suspected cocaine to citizen S. Xh.   

The verifications resulted in the citizen S. Xh. having violated the security measure "House arrest", for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics".

During the physical search of citizen AA and the search of his apartment, the Police found quantities of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine, a sum of money suspected of being obtained from the sale of doses, an electronic scale and illegal items.

 

At the end of the procedural actions in the case, citizens AA, 29 years old and S. Xh., 29 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further actions./ CNA
