New details from the incident/ Here's how the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja

New details are revealed about the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja inside the courtroom at the Court of Appeals in Tirana.

It is learned that the author Elvis Shkëmbi was present in the courtroom, where at 2:00 PM a hearing on a property case had begun, in which he himself was a party to the trial.

Afterwards, the hearing continued normally until Judge Astrit Kalaja was briefed on the claims of both parties.

A few minutes later, the judge ruled in favor of Shkëmbi's opposing party, citizens RK and E. K., who were injured and are out of danger.

Shkëmbi shot the judge with a pistol as soon as he gave the verdict.

After the crime committed inside the courthouse, the perpetrator handed over the weapon to the court security guard and then fled to the court yard, where there was a police patrol outside.

The perpetrator did not resist and remained in the court yard until the police placed handcuffs on him. /CNA
