He killed the son-in-law in cooperation with the daughter/ Mejit Picari and his daughter are sentenced

The Tirana court has sentenced Mejit Picari to life imprisonment, who killed his ex-son-in-law Kudret Saliaj in June 2021.

Meanwhile, the author's daughter, Dhurata Picari, who helped her father in the murder of her ex-husband, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

They are accused of the murder that happened in June 2021, after a family conflict.

Mezhit Picari, a former policeman, entered the bar and opened fire on the groom, while the lawyer Adriatik Cama, who was at a table with the victim, was also injured.

The murder of Kudrejt Saliaj by his ex-father-in-law came after a long history of conflicts in the family, where the victim and Dhurata Picari accused each other of adultery.

The couple had three children and Saliaj had asked for a divorce from his wife.

Dhurata Picari, accused of being an accomplice of her father in the execution of 41-year-old Kudret Saliaj, was previously accused by her children of violence. /CNA.al
