Part of a criminal group/ 2 Albanian traffickers are arrested by order of SPAK

Two people have been put in handcuffs by order of SPAK, as they are accused of being part of a structured criminal group of traffickers.

It is learned that citizens with the initials KD and AM have been arrested

They are accused of being part of a structured criminal group, who, within the framework of the investigations carried out in Denmark in connection with "Operation Goldfinger" and developed during the years 2018-2019, were suspected of having trafficked, stored, processed and distributed quantities of significant cocaine and marijuana narcotics, operating mainly in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime has registered criminal proceedings No. 49 dated 27.03.2023 for the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in cooperation in the form of a structured criminal group, "Cleaning of the products of the criminal offense or activity criminal", "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization and structured criminal group", provided by articles 283/a, 28/4, 287, 333/a and 334 of the Criminal Code.

This criminal proceeding was registered after a close cooperation with the justice authorities of the Kingdom of Denmark.

After the request submitted by the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 76, dated 28.06.2023, decided the personal security measures "arrest in prison", provided by article 238 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for citizens under investigation by the Criminal Code and the Ministry of Justice, suspected of committing criminal offenses of "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in cooperation in the form of a structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of crimes criminal by criminal organization and structured criminal group", provided by articles 283/a, 28/4, 333/a and 334 of the Criminal Code.

On 03.07.2023, the Judicial Police Services of the General Directorate of the State Police made it possible to execute personal security measures, arresting citizens under investigation by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Justice.

The persons currently arrested in Albania, in the framework of criminal proceedings no. 49 of 2023, are suspected of being members of a structured criminal group, who, in the framework of the investigations carried out in Denmark in connection with "Operation Goldfinger" and developed during the years 2018-2019, they were suspected of having trafficked, stored, processed and distributed significant quantities of cocaine and marijuana narcotics, operating mainly in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

Within this structured criminal group, the main members of the structured criminal group were arrested in Denmark, sent for trial and sentenced by the Copenhagen Court, among others, Albanian citizens Jetmir Kastrati (alias Sokol Krasnici), Defrim Beck (Elbasani), Armando Doçaj, Eri Pelinku, Ervin Pelinku, Nikardo Preka, Kejdi Beqiri, Fatjon Elbasani, Murat Lipovica, Hasan Murati, Shkëlzen Murati and Ylber Troci, who have been sentenced to imprisonment by the Court of Copenhagen and the trial is currently continuing in the Court of Appeal.
Citizen Jetmir Kastrati (alias Sokol Krasniçi) is considered as the leader of the structured criminal group by the Danish justice authorities.

Meanwhile, in Albania, within the framework of preliminary investigations conducted against other members of this structured criminal group, in connection with other criminal proceedings registered in the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime, it turns out that they have been sentenced to imprisonment for criminal offenses criminal "Cleaning of the products of a criminal offense or criminal activity", carried out in cooperation, in a special form, that of a structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group", as well as "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured group criminal", provided by articles 287, point 1, letters "a", "b" and "d" of 28/4, 333/a and 334/1 of the Criminal Code, citizens Jetmir Kastrati (alias Sokol Krasniçi), Astrit Beqiri and Dhimitre Shkodrani.

Currently, the preliminary investigations related to criminal proceedings no. 49 of 2023 are being carried out by investigators of the National Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with officers of the Judicial Police Services in the General Directorate of the State Police, under the direction of the Special Prosecutors./ CNA.al
