The former senior police chief, Arben Hajdarmataj, has raised suspicions about the murder of father and son in Dukagjin.

He says that one of the reasons could have been that the anonymity of the persons who made the denunciation was not preserved and that the information could have been given by police officers.

Among other things, he adds that the police should find the perpetrator and not justify the work by arresting the village headman and the forest worker.

Hajdarmataj said during the interview in "Euronews Albania" that if someone denounces the planting of cannabis, he should be taken to the defense.

"It may be one of the reasons that the anonymity of the persons who denounced has not been preserved, the information may have been given by police officers. The people who live in those areas are few and know each other and the people who cultivate cannabis are few. In the areas where there are plots of cannabis that are without a master, to justify their work, the police go and accompany the chief and the forest worker, but the duty of the police is to find the perpetrator. These people cannot bear the direct responsibility, this responsibility belongs to the state police", said Hajdarmataj./ CNA
