Bets were placed in his bar/ The 29-year-old owner was arrested

Police have arrested a 29-year-old man, the administrator of a bar where betting was found to be taking place.

Sh. D., 29 years old, is accused of the criminal offenses of “Organizing or conducting gambling activities in violation of the law” and “Making premises available for illegal gambling”.

He made the premises he managed available for placing sports bets, the 29-year-old was arrested and his mobile phone was seized. As a result of systematic checks and based on information provided by police intelligence, specialists for the Investigation of Cybercrimes have established that in a premises in the village of Daijas, sports bets were placed, using mobile phones. In this case, the administrator of the premises, citizen Sh. D., 29 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “Organizing or exercising gambling activities in violation of the law” and “Making premises available for illegal games”.

"Controls against this illegal activity continue. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced./ CNA
