Possession of weapons with the intention of selling/ Two people arrested

Police have cracked a case of firearms trafficking.

Officers have arrested 21-year-old DN, from whom a firearm and ammunition were found and seized.

A 24-year-old man, who was accompanying DN, was also arrested on charges of failing to report a crime.

The Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking, in cooperation with the Operational Force of the Tirana Police Department, as a result of investigations conducted with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to crack down on the criminal activity of selling firearms, has organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Suspend 1".

As a result of which they arrested citizens DN, 21 years old, and AS, 24 years old, both residents of Fier.

During the physical search of the 21-year-old, the Police services found and seized a firearm, a pistol, and combat ammunition, which he allegedly possessed with the intention of selling in Tirana.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
