Threatened a woman with a firearm/ 37-year-old arrested in Tirana

A 37-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto after threatening a 40-year-old woman with a pistol for weak motives. He had a shotgun, a cold weapon, and ammunition in his apartment.

The arrest was made at the conclusion of a police operation codenamed "Prevention", to prevent a possible criminal event.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, after receiving the notification that on "Muhamed Deliu" street, a citizen possessed a weapon in the apartment and had threatened a 40-year-old woman, immediately organized the work to prevent a possible criminal event, complete legal documentation of the case and bring the suspected perpetrator to criminal responsibility.

As a result of rapid investigative and procedural actions carried out within the framework of the "Prevention" operation, citizen LL, 37 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested and put in handcuffs.

Investigations suspect that this citizen threatened a 40-year-old woman with a pistol on the street, for weak motives.   

During the search of the 37-year-old's apartment, police services found and seized the firearm, a pistol, that he allegedly used for the threat, 2 shotguns, 1 cold weapon, and combat ammunition.  

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
