Monitoring with cameras and drones intensifies/ Traffic Police imposes 165 administrative measures

The Traffic Police is intensifying monitoring of road axes, with the aim of preventing road accidents.

Drones, radars, cameras, smart cars and plainclothes patrols, 24/7.

In collaboration with tunnel maintenance administrators, movements in the tunnels are being monitored 24/7 and footage from tunnel cameras and radars is managed by the Traffic Police.

For all violations found, the Traffic Police imposes an administrative measure, which is immediately reflected on the e-Albania portal, at the address of the driver of the vehicle or entity found to be in violation of the Traffic Code, for which, in addition to the administrative measure, the additional sanction of deduction of up to 15 points from the driving license is also applied.

Over the last two weeks, 165 drivers have been punished in the Murriz Tunnel with an administrative fine of 40,000 new lek and a deduction of 15 points from their driving license.

The Traffic Police appeal for rigorous enforcement of road traffic rules by drivers of vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, as well as those who ride bicycles or skateboards./CNA
