Checks on road axes in Berat/ 6 arrested and around 1000 fines for vehicle

The Berat Traffic Police continues monitoring all roads in the region, with the aim of preventing accidents and meeting road safety parameters.

Special attention has been paid to vehicles that circulate with tinted windows as well as citizens who drive under the influence of alcohol.

Over the past 2 weeks, 6 citizens have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition, 3 citizens have been prosecuted for driving without a license.

Furthermore, during this period:

-4 drivers have been administratively punished for driving under the influence of alcohol;

-294 drivers have been punished for wrongful overtaking; 

-73 drivers have been fined for not wearing seat belts;

-26 drivers have been punished for speeding above the allowed speed limit;

-294 drivers were punished for stopping or stopping their vehicle in violation of road signs;

-20 drivers have been fined for using a mobile phone while driving;

-255 drivers have been punished for other violations of the Road Code.

Checks will continue on all road axes in the district.
