2 people were put in handcuffs by the police and 21 others were declared wanted because they are suspected of having transported 21 immigrants against payments ranging from 300 to 1000 euros.

Through an official announcement, the Blues have announced that the citizens with the initials EK, 28 years old, F. Dh., 34 years old, RS, 36 years old, NT, 41 years old, acted in an organized manner, as drivers of vehicles with immigrants and as supervisors of on the way, to avoid Police patrols.

Among other things, the police announced that 3 vehicles, a sum of money benefited from this criminal activity and 2 mobile phones were seized.

This discovery comes within the framework of the police operation "Midnight 14", to attack the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, against payments, for illegal crossing of the border.

The Illegal Traffic Investigation Specialists of DVP Korçë, following the work to combat the criminal activity of providing assistance to citizens from Third Countries, against payment, in order to illegally cross the border, towards EU countries, as well as with the support of the information provided by the information intelligence, finalized the coded police operation "Midnight 14".

As a result of this operation, citizens EK, 28 years old and F. Dh., 34 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested, as well as RS citizens, 36 years old, residents of the village of Belorta, Korçë and NT, were declared wanted. 41 years old, resident in Tirana.

In the vicinity of the village of Vërdovë, Pogradec, the Police services caught the citizen EK red-handed, who was transporting 7 immigrants in a "BMË X5" type vehicle.

Also, the services found that both RS and NT citizens were transporting 14 immigrants with a "Tuareg" vehicle, which was moving behind the vehicle of the EK citizen. As soon as they were signaled to stop the vehicle, both of these citizens abandoned it and ran away. The work for their capture continues.

Following this operation, the citizen F. Dh. was also caught and handcuffed, who was found driving a "Volvo" type vehicle, in front of 2 other vehicles, to supervise the road, in order to avoid patrols of the Police.
