The State Police, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, have finalized the coded police operation "Hijacking".

Thanks to this operation, it became possible to locate, capture and arrest, with the purpose of extradition to our country, the citizen Aldo Majnishta, 29 years old, born in Shkodër, declared an international wanted.

This citizen, at the time of his arrest, presented the documents of another citizen to the Kosovar authorities. As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with these authorities, a series of verifications were carried out, from which it turned out that the citizen caught during the operation was Aldo Majnishta.

- The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, in 2022, assigned to the 29-year-old, the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Kidnapping or holding a person hostage", committed in collaboration, "Trafficking narcotics", carried out in collaboration, "Manufacture and illegal possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Hiding or disposing of a corpse".

He was declared wanted after the investigations showed that he is one of the organizers of the kidnapping and disappearance of the citizen Jan Prenga.

In addition, the 29-year-old Shkodra Court of Appeal, in 2016, sentenced him to 3 years of imprisonment (of which he has 2 years, 3 months and 15 days left to serve), for the criminal offense "Breach of the rules of road traffic", "Disobedience to the order of the public order police officer", "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Leaving the scene of the accident".

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with the Kosovar authorities, is following the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Albania./ CNA.al
