The Special Structure has submitted the arrest warrant for former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj to the State Police.
Last week, with 117 votes in favor and 3 abstentions, the deputies of the Assembly approved the request of SPAK, to remove the immunity of the former deputy prime minister.
Two days ago, BKH investigators carried out checks at Ahmetaj's apartments in Lalëz and Tirana, where they seized some digital devices.
The former deputy prime minister is accused of passive corruption, concealment of income and money laundering.
The lawyers of the former deputy prime minister have confirmed earlier that Ahmetaj is in Great Britain./CNA.al
