Ordered the murder of Sokol Sanxhatari, GJKKO leaves Florenc Çapjan in prison

The Criminal Court has upheld the prison sentence for Florenc Çapjan, accused of ordering the murder of Sokol Sanxhatari.

We recall that on May 2, Florenc Çapja was extradited from Dubai.

Florenc Çapja, otherwise known as one of the strongmen of Elbasan, was arrested in May 2021 in Dubai and is accused of the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqiri, father and son, in 2012.

The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (CCOC) has sentenced Florenc Çapja to life imprisonment.

Çapja executed them in their apartment while Gentian Beqiri was under 'house arrest' and guarded by two police officers at the door of the house, as he was accused of being the author of the murder of well-known businessman Sokol Çapja.

The murder of Gentian Beqiri was committed inside his apartment, while he was lying in bed after being paralyzed, and then the perpetrators also murdered his father, Nezir Beqiri./ CNA
