Possessed two firearms without a permit/ 64-year-old arrested in Maliq

Intensive controls based on police intelligence, to prevent and crack down on illegalities.

The operation codenamed "Kolaneci" is finalized, to crack down on a case of illegal possession of weapons. A citizen who was in possession of 2 firearms (a Kalashnikov and a rifle) is arrested. The 2 firearms are seized.

The services of the Maliq Police Commissariat, in continuation of their work to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons, based on information obtained through operational channels that a citizen was carrying firearms in his apartment, have organized the operation codenamed "Kolaneci".   

During the search of the premises near the apartment of citizen JD, the Police services found 1 automatic firearm and 1 rifle firearm, which were seized as material evidence.   

At the end of the procedural actions, citizen JD, 64 years old, resident of the village of Kolanec, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".   

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor 's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action./CNA
