Internationally wanted for fraud/ A citizen from Kazakhstan is arrested in Tirana

The police operation codenamed "Fugitive" is finalized. A citizen declared internationally wanted for fraud is captured in Tirana and arrested with the aim of extradition to Kazakhstan.

In continuation of the work to locate and capture internationally wanted citizens, based on the information provided on the location of a wanted citizen, the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime of the DVP Tirana exchanged information with Interpol Tirana and organized the work to locate and capture him.  

As a result, on "Gjergj Fishta" Boulevard, a citizen from Kazakhstan, AT, 26 years old, was arrested and handcuffed. 

This citizen was arrested with the aim of extradition to Kazakhstan, after the Special Investigation Court of Almaty, Kazakhstan, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Fraud", provided for by the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan. 

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with the law enforcement authorities of Kazakhstan, is continuing the procedures for the extradition of this citizen. /CNA
