Illegal narcotics activity/ 39-year-old arrested in Maliq

Operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics continue. After a month of investigations with proactive methods, the police operation codenamed "Liboniku" is finalized. He was selling doses of Cocaine and Cannabis, in the town of Maliq and the surrounding villages, the 39-year-old is identified, arrested and put in handcuffs. Narcotics Cocaine and Cannabis, 1 vehicle, 1 electronic scale and combat ammunition are seized.

Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Korça Police Department, as a result of investigative actions carried out with proactive methods, during a month, within the framework of the coded operation “Liboniku”, cracked a case of sale of narcotics, in doses. During the operation, in the village of Libonik, Maliq, the Police services have located and stopped the vehicle in which the citizen suspected of selling doses was moving. During the physical search of citizen JB and the search of the vehicle, the Police services found and seized a quantity of suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, divided into doses, ready for sale.

Following the actions, during the search in the apartment of this citizen, another quantity of Cocaine, a quantity of Cannabis, an electronic scale and a quantity of combat ammunition were found. At the end of the procedural actions, citizen JB, 39 years old, resident of Libonik, Maliq, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to identify and arrest other citizens who may have been involved in this criminal activity. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action. /CNA
