Operation "Bridge" continues/ 44-year-old Albanian arrested in Belgium

Operation "Bridge" continues, in cooperation with international partners.

Following this operation, the Belgian police arrested 44-year-old GA, to whom the Bari Prosecutor's Office has assigned the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment", accused of drug trafficking, committed within the framework of a criminal organization.

State Police/Close cooperation with international partners continues, within the framework of the codenamed "Bridge" operation.

This phase of the operation is the result of the joint work of FAST Albania, FAST Italy and FAST Belgium, with the coordination of the ENFAST network.

A citizen accused by the Bari Prosecutor's Office for participating in a criminal organization for drug trafficking has been located and arrested in Belgium.

As a result of the exchange of information and police cooperation between counterparts of the specialized FAST units, following Operation "Bridge", the Belgian Police arrested in Belgium, the Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted, GA, 44 years old.

The Bari Prosecutor's Office, in 2025, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed within the framework of a criminal organization./ CNA
